10 Movies That Were Far Too Serious For Their Own Good

8. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012)

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter In case you just unthawed or arose from the dead or something, Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. The title of this movie pits him as a "Vampire Hunter" - as in, a man who hunts vampires for a living. Your instant reaction to that idea is probably: "Oh, wow! That sounds hilarious!" Wait until you get a load of the movie, then, which somehow managed to drain all the fun out of that giddy concept entirely. Yes, this is another one of those movies that thought it sounded novel and would therefore sell tickets, and that might've happened had it not tried to play the whole story as straight as an upturned ironing board. There's little humour to be found in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter at all - so little, in fact, that one might seriously argue that Steven Spielberg's serious biopic Lincoln is more of a laugh to watch. Just think on that for a second.
