10 Movies That Were Totally Haunted

1. The Omen

Rosemarys Baby
20th Century Fox

Starring Gregory Peck and Lee Remick, The Omen follows a mother and father who unwittingly adopt the Antichrist (oops), taking the form of a young boy named Damien. Plagued by tragedy, it is often considered to be one of the most cursed films of all time.

Two months before filming began, Gregory Peck's son committed suicide by gunshot.

Three planes carrying cast or crew members - David Seltzer, Gregory Peck, and Mace Neufeld - were struck by lightning, and producer Harvey Bernhard narrowly avoided a lightning strike in Rome. In yet another aircraft incident, a plane taking off from set crashed, killing all eleven people onboard.

The day after they filmed the zoo scene (in which a group of baboons freak out at Damien's presence), a zookeeper who worked on the film was mauled to death after a tiger (or lion, depending on who you ask) got ahold of his head. That same day, director Richard Donner's hotel was bombed by the IRA.

Most notably, on Friday the 13th, special effects supervisor John Richardson and his assistant Liz Moore were in a horrible car accident, during which Moore was decapitated. This is especially eerie, as Richardson was the one who oversaw the film's infamous decapitation scene.
