10 Movies Today's Teens 'Need' Less Than Love, Simon

6. Justice League

Look, teaching the youth of the world to accept subpar quality films is one thing but teaching them that films as hastily and awfully edited together as this one are somehow acceptable in a mainstream cinema is outright idiotic.

To go along with that, the film takes one of the defining female superheroes of the last few decades (only six months after she made such an impact!) and reduces her to little more than eye candy. Whether it was Whedon or Snyder's doing is certainly up for debate, but someone behind the camera was way more interested in shots that lingered on Wonder Woman's butt than they were about making a quality film.

There is also the absolutely cringe-worthy scene in which Aquaman sits on her lasso and begins to talk about the things he would like to do to her, which is just exactly the right way to address a woman amidst all of the Time's Up movements going on in Hollywood.

Also, where at the end of her own film she lost her love but vowed to carry on protecting those who needed help, Justice league paints her as someone who hasn't been able to get over the loss of her boyfriend all those years ago. She is solely defined by her relationship to men throughout the film, and it completely devalues her worth.
