10 Movies Way Freakier Than You Thought

4. The Toys See EVERYTHING - Toy Story

The Toy Story franchise is defined by a rather ambiguous set of rules regarding the "alive" status of its focal toys, whereby they must conceal their true nature from their young owners at all costs.

But the lack of clarity regarding the mechanics of the toys' lives means fans have come up with their fair share of tantalising questions - namely, do the toys therefore see everything Andy (John Morris) gets up to?

You can see where we're going with this - by the time Toy Story 3 rolls around, Andy's a 17-year-old with likely all the healthy, hormonal urges of a young man his age. Are we to assume that the poor toys are ultimately witness to all that this implies?

This dovetails into a wider debate about whether or not sex toys are in fact alive, and all the horrifying implications that this line of questioning brings with it.

After all, Toy Story 4 made it clear with Forky (Toby Hale) that the definition of a toy is far from strict, and in turn opened up a can of worms to propagate every demented fan theory out there.

As wonderful as these movies are, it also might've been smart for Pixar to lay down a clearer set of ground rules in order to prevent fans going off on disconcerting tangents such as these.
