5. The Matrix 4 - The Wachowskis
The Movie: The continuing effort to end The Matrix once and for all, and find out what the Hell happened to Neo.
Why It Hasn't Been Made: The Wachowskis don't seem to have much ambition to get these films made, even though fans are eager to see a
proper conclusion, after the rather disappointing cop-out that was The Matrix Revolutions. Rumours have been around for years that they've committed to sequels and such, but it's never come to anything. Furthermore, there's a good chance that the Wachowskis feel like they've given us more than enough answers, considering that the storyline
did continue in the video game The Matrix Online, even if it ultimately raised more questions than it did provide answers. Besides that, they're keeping themselves plenty busy with ambitious projects like Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending, even if The Matrix 4 would be a considerably lesser financial gamble.
