8. President Coin - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2

When the districts rebelled against President Snow's rule over them from the Capitol, it was Katniss Everdeen who was the initial spark. She shared the nightlock berries with Peeta, preventing Snow from having his Hunger Games winner, and she fought as the Mockingjay, the focal point of the whole rebellion, to bring an end to Snow's regime.

That's not to say that she did it alone, or even that she was in charge, however. There were teams of people around her to help, from Haymitch to Prim, Gale, and more. In Mockingjay: Part One there was Alma Coin, who led the rebellion as President of District 13.

Without Coin there wouldn't have been a rebellion at all. Under her leadership the revolution was successful, and when Capitol finally fell, she took on the role of President of all of Panem from Snow.

Coin's first act? To punish the Capitol by forcing their children to compete in a Hunger Games of their own. So, she learned absolutely nothing and in just one conversation proved herself to be no better than Snow, the vile dictator they just fought to bring down. Thankfully, she was killed by Katniss before she was ever able to initiate the murder of any innocent children.
