9. Luke Enright - Children Of The Corn V: Fields Of Terror
Another thoroughly naff horror sequel with a dead-all-along villain now, then.
In Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, the primary antagonist appears to be Luke Enright (David Carradine), a local maniac and the human leader of the cult which worships the demonic entity known as He Who Walks Behind the Rows.
But near the end of the movie, one of the cult's children, Ezeekial (Adam Wylie), drops the big reveal that Luke has actually been dead for many years.
More to the point, Ezeekial announces that he himself has been the secret real leader of the cult all along, just as Luke's physical form burns away.
It's a relatively smart gambit on Ezeekial's part, taking the guise of a child to continue his operations undetected while all the suspicion is instead thrown upon the only adult in the cult's vicinity.
It's still a godawful movie, though.
