10 Movies Where The Villain Was Dead All Along

8. Stack, Ball & Bulldog - Tales From The Hood

Hell House Sara Havel

Given that cult classic horror-comedy anthology Tales from the Hood features Satan himself as a major character, we're certainly dealing with a sliding scale of villainy here, but it still counts all the same.

The frame narrative revolves around three drug dealers, Stack (Joe Torry), Ball (De'Aundre Bonds), and Bulldog (Samuel Monroe, Jr.), who visit a funeral home to buy wares from its eerie owner, Mr. Simms (Clarence Williams III).

Simms regales the trio with stories of the dead folk in his establishment, before it's revealed that the drug dealers actually killed the subject of the last story, gangster Crazy K (Lamont Bentley).

Moreover, Simms is acutely aware of this, and when they try to kill him, he takes them to three caskets which reveal they're already dead, having been killed by Crazy K's associates in revenge.

Oh, and the funeral home is actually Hell and Mr. Simms is Satan, who leaves the trio to burn in hellfire forever more.
