10 Movies Whose CinemaScores Make No Sense

7. The Wolf Of Wall Street

Inception Leonardo DiCaprio
Paramount

CinemaScore: C

It's understandable how the debauchery in Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street could turn some people off, but a C is outrageously low for this fantastic movie.

Leonardo Dicaprio's portrayal of Jordan Belfort alone deserves at least a B. Not to mention Jonah Hill lending his strong comedic timing to the film.

The long three hour run time flies by at an exhilarating pace due in part to the excellent writing showcased throughout.

Some audiences possibly wanted more of an exposé on Jordon Belfort's life and the dangers of greed. As the film never really shows Belfort getting his comeuppance.

However, it's odd that moviegoers ignored all the great aspects of the film just because it didn't narratively play out the way they wanted/expected.

By comparison, Halle Berry's Razzie award-winning Catwomen has a CinemaScore of B.

Ben Jessey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
