10 Movies Whose CinemaScores Make No Sense

3. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Inception Leonardo DiCaprio
Universal

CinemaScore: A-

In 2015 the Jurassic (Park) franchise was rebooted with Jurassic World and it received okay reviews. Whereas its sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom got a lot more criticism when it was released.

While the film includes solid special effects, it suffers from poor writing and a nonsensical plot. Characters spend a lot of time making dumb decisions just to move the narrative along. Whilst the weak script stops Chris Pratt being his usual charismatic self.

Overall the film is a lousy instalment in the franchise. Which makes it all the more puzzling that it garnered an A- rating from CinemaScore.

The dinosaur thriller was panned by both critics and moviegoers yet it still managed to achieve a CinemaScore that was only one rating lower than the original Jurassic Park.

Ben Jessey hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
