10 Movies With INSANE Casts You've Never Heard Of

8. The Ten

In 2007, sandwiched between his beloved cult classic comedies Wet Hot American Summer and Role Models, David Wain directed an almost entirely forgotten anthology with one of the most enviable ensemble casts in the genre's history.

The Ten, a 10-part anthology centered around the Bible's Ten Commandments, evidently managed to secure the services of literally several dozen name actors by cloistering them off into short stories that didn't require more than a few days each to shoot.

Across the ten shorts, which are hosted by Paul Rudd, there are appearances from Winona Ryder, Famke Janssen, Jessica Alba, Adam Brody, Justin Theroux (as Jesus Christ, obviously), Oliver Platt, Liev Schreiber, Gretchen Mol, Rob Corddry, Ken Marino, Janeane Garofalo, Thomas Lennon, Bobby Cannavale, Joe Lo Truglio, Jason Sudeikis, Rashida Jones, Jon Hamm, and more.

Now, The Ten certainly sticks out as the weakest entry in Wain's filmography and religious satires are a tough sell with distributors, but even so, that a film so star-studded couldn't even crack $1 million at the box office and near-instantly zapped into obscurity is almost impressive, honestly.
