10 Movies With INSANE Casts You've Never Heard Of

6. Big Trouble

Buena Vista

Now, it doesn't help Big Trouble's case that it's going to constantly have its lunch eaten in search engine indexes by Big Trouble in Little China, but even so, this 2002 black comedy is loaded deep with one of the most quintessential early 2000s casts ever assembled.

Big Trouble's cast includes Tim Allen, Zooey Deschanel, Omar Epps, Dennis Farina, Ben Foster, Janeane Garofalo, Johnny Knoxville, Jason Lee, Rene Russo, Tom Sizemore, Stanley Tucci, Sofia Vergara, Patrick Warburton, DJ Qualls, Andy Richter, and rapper Heavy D for good measure. But unlike most movies on this list, it's at least clear why so few have actually heard of it - it was intentionally buried by distributor Buena Vista due to unforeseeable real-world events.

Big Trouble was originally set to release on September 21, 2001, but given that part of the plot revolves around a nuclear device being smuggled onboard a plane, there was no choice but to delay its release following 9/11.

It was ultimately pushed back to April 2002, where it was released with only the bare minimum marketing campaign and - shocker! - it sank like a stone at the box office. Reviews were firmly mixed, and while this feels like the sort of movie that'd be re-evaluated as a cult classic over time, Big Trouble remains a mostly unknown entity.
