10 Movies With Surprisingly High Body Counts

3. Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery

1997 was the first time we were given a dose of Mike Myers as a the loveable - if not slightly cringeworthy - Austin Powers.

International Man of Mystery was the first of the series to hit screens and while the majority of the film is centred on Myers' comedic genius and delivery of purposely cheesy punch lines, there is a weirdly high death count involved.

18 humans meet their end during Powers' first outing and while it might not sound too hefty an amount, given the overall tone of the film, it's still a decent amount of on-screen death.

The number blitzes the body count we see in follow ups The Spy who Shagged Me and Goldmember, with a number of Fembots also meeting their demise.

Most deaths within Austin Powers are presented in line with the tone of the film in that are often quite silly and make the audience chuckle.

Still, death is death, and Myers managed to get plenty of it in to say it's essentially a spoof spy flick.
