10 Movies You Can Never Admit You Haven't Seen

1. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

Is there a single person left on the planet who hasn't seen Star Wars by now? While most fans of movies have (and many of them have watched it dozens of times) there are still stragglers out there yet to get on the Star Wars bandwagon. Nearly 14,000 of them belong to a community on Facebook called "Yes, that is correct I have never seen Star Wars." There are always going to be people who go out of their way to avoid watching something just because it's ridiculously popular, and while sometimes that's a good thing (plenty of people probably wish they could unsee Michael Bay's Transformers movies) in the case of Star Wars they're cutting off their proverbial nose to spite their face. George Lucas's direction might be admittedly on the bland and uninspiring side but none of that matters when such iconic movie characters are introduced for the very first time. The excitement surrounding the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the end of the year - it's more hotly anticipated even than the upcoming Avengers sequel - is a great indication of just how culturally significant the Star Wars series is. If you haven't seen the original - especially in its pre-Special Edition version, which for many ruined the movie's charm with the unnecessary addition of CGI creatures - then it should go straight to the top of your Films To Watch list. What other great movies can you think of which people won't admit they haven't seen? Why not let us know about them in the comments below?
