10 Movies You Didn't Know Had Secret Post-Credits Sequences
8. L.A. Confidential (1997)
Undoubtedly one of the crowning cinematic achievements of the '90s, L.A. Confidential saw three detectives (each one expertly rendered by Kevin Spacey, Guy Pearce and Russell Crowe) as they attempt to solve a diner massacre in their own ways.
Eventually the detectives are drawn together (and that's where the movie really pays off), though Kevin Spacey's charismatic Jack Vincennes - who moonlights as a consultant for a fictional cop show called Badge of Honor - doesn't make it through the case alive.
Post-credits, though, we're granted to a sneaky glimpse of Badge of Honor, as watched by an idyllic '50s family from the comfort of their living room. Rather heartwarmingly, "episode" is dedicated to an old friend: Sergeant Jack Vincennes.
