10 Movies You Didn't Know Had Secret Post-Credits Sequences
4. The Grey (2012)
Unfairly marketed as "Liam Neeson vs. CGI wolves," there's a disappointing lack of wolf-fighting in the otherwise excellent survival movie The Grey, which instead chose to focus on the plight of several plane crash survivors as they're continually chased by wolves across a vast and uncompromising Arctic desert.
Arguably the biggest kick in the teeth - with regards to those movie-goers who paid to watch Neeson wrestle with monstrous canines, anyway - came in the form of The Grey's blunt ending, which has Neeson mounting up to take on the demonic alpha male who has been hunting him for days with his bare hands.
But the movie cuts to the credits before any such battle takes place on screen, leaving the outcome to mere audience imagination. There's a little secret awaiting patient movie-goers, though, in an extremely brief post-credits sequence.
Though intentionally unclear, a quick shot shows Neeson's character leaning up against the (presumably) beaten body of the alpha. Though the alpha is still breathing, dead or not, we know - at least - that the Irishman certainly put up a fight.
