10 Movies You Didn't Know Were Becoming TV Shows

This entry is more in the “spinoff” category, as this planned series will take place within the same universe as the Keanu Reeves shoot-em-ups, but will not be focusing on any of the characters from the films, aside from some rumored cameo appearances. The creative team behind the films will be overseeing the series, which will center around The Continental, the Manhattan hotel which acts as a neutral zone for members of the criminal underworld.

Not much is known about the series, but rumors have gone around the internet suggesting that it will be a prequel, will feature an all new set of characters, and will delve deeper into how all of the criminal syndicates came to be interconnected.

The series is expected to have 8-episode seasons and will no doubt treat fans to the same kind of manic action set pieces they have come to enjoy from the franchise. The series will have a home on the Starz network, which is owned by Lionsgate, the production company behind the films. The show should premiere shortly after John Wick 4, in the summer of 2021.
