10 Movies You Had No Idea Joss Whedon Worked On

6. The Getaway

In another of his uncredited films in his role as script-doctor, Whedon worked on the 1994 remake of the 1972 film of the same name in post-production on looplines.

In his interview with The AV Club, Whedon explains this process, "writing lines over somebody's back to explain something, to help make a connection, to add a joke, or to just add babble because the people are in frame and should be saying something". He goes on to add that he did just this in The Getaway, and that if you watch the film carefully, when people's backs are turned, "the whole movie has a certain edge to it"

There isn't much more information about Whedon's work on this film from the man himself and other sources, but considering the movie (starring Alec Baldwin and Kim Basigner) didn't meet great reviews on release, has a low 33% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and is one of the first films Whedon worked on, he most likely isn't upset that this isn't more widely known.
