10 Movies You Had No Idea Joss Whedon Worked On
4. Twister
A film notoriously plagued with many behind the scenes problems (including studio lights temporarily blinding two actors), Whedon was brought on in the early spring of 1995 to work on re-writes for the script.
Not long after this, Whedon contracted bronchitis and had to leave the project until May 1995 when filming eventually got started, but then left the project for good not long after to get married. Whedon recall's that his last pages were turned in on 24th June, the day of his wedding - "I had to say, ‘I hope you like this, because I am leaving the country now for a honeymoon.'” reported Entertainment Weekly.
Whedon's work went uncredited with this film, as it did with a lot of his work, though he was relatively happy with the work that he did get done, saying to The AV Club, "In Twister, there are things that worked and things that weren't the way I'd intended them."
Considering that Twister was a worldwide blockbuster, grossing over $500 million worldwide, this was a great project for Whedon to have worked on so early in his career.
