10 Movies You Need To Watch In 4K

1. The Dark Knight

It would be remiss not to include at least one Christopher Nolan movie on this list, and honestly, you can take your pick, because they all look pretty damn spectacular in 4K.

The most alluring of the lot, though, is The Dark Knight, a film with a deeply operatic, sprawling scope that's perfect for the UHD treatment.

This was the first movie where Nolan started shooting segments of his films with IMAX cameras, and from The Joker's opening heist sequence onwards, the benefits are immediately obvious.

The film's very first shot, a steady close-in on a soon-to-be-shattered skyscraper window, is awe-inspiringly detailed and sets a high standard to follow.

Wally Pfister's eye-gasmic cinematography is a hearty visual feast throughout regardless of the image format, and this is a rare 4K release that truly feels like watching the movie again with a new pair of eyes.
