It should come as no surprise that a "comedy" which features both between Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider has some racist elements. Schneider has proven himself to be pretty happy to play whatever racial stereotype is on offer, with consistently offensive results. But 50 First Dates is probably the worst of their collaborations. It's ostensibly a sweet romantic comedy but any emotional weight it might hold is diminished by Schneider's portrayal of Ula, which manages to incorporate every negative, racist stereotype about native Hawaiian people. His accent alone is an abomination, even before you get to the "constantly stoned, extremely lazy" characterisation.
Brydie is an Australian writer and performer living in London and she complains exactly the same amount about the weather as every other Australian living in London. Yes, that is her natural lip colour, no, she will not be taking any further questions at this time.
