10 Movies You Won't Believe Were Rated PG

8. Ghostbusters

THE MASK 2
Columbia Pictures

After the Ghostbusters capture their first phantom, we see a montage of the team's adventures as their business begins to pick up. At one point, we see Dan Aykroyd's character, Ray, having a dream of a beautiful ghost floating above his bed. She unzips his trousers and... well, you get the idea.

If you ever wondered how such a tasteless scene made it into the final cut, blame Ayrkoyd. The talented comedian has made his belief in the paranormal abundantly clear over the years and so, thought it would be cool for his character's love interest to be a spirit.

When this idea was scrapped, Aykroyd thought it would be better (somehow) to tweak the scene so the spirit has sex with Ray. Having a relationship with an apparition is an interesting idea but the execution clearly jars with the rest of the film's tone.

What makes this moment even stranger is that it has absolutely nothing to do with the story! Considering a lot of scenes were cut for Ghostbusters, it's uncertain how this one was accepted by the censor board.
