9. Love Is Strange
Whereas '71 has been shown in the UK last year, but held off from US audiences until this month, Love Is Strange will already be familiar to some audiences in America after its release last summer, but new to audiences in the UK when it's released later this month. Alfred Molina and John Lithgow star as two gay lovers who finally tie the knot after being together for several decades. Love Is Strange is all about the acting, with Marisa Tomei supporting the two theatrical giants in a film which forefronts dialogue and characterisation in a similar vein to Woody Allen. With a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes it's no doubt fair to say that fans of delicately and compassionately told dramas are going to be in for a treat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdfA5Ff5e78
