Still, it should all be worth it, because Gunn has assured fans that the character will have a "major" role in his DC Comics movie.
After Birds of Prey failed to take flight at the box office, Warner Bros. will be hoping to redeem the character in the eyes of moviegoers who didn't flock to her solo movie, and this franchise could be a permanent home for Harley moving forward.
