Initially, it was reported that Idris Elba had been cast to replace Will Smith as Deadshot in The Suicide Squad, but those reports were quickly debunked. Since then, we've been faced with countless rumours about the identity of the British actor's character, with Bronze Tiger being one very popular suggestion from online "scoopers."

Vigilante is another name that's come up, though, and the aforementioned set photos seemingly confirm that's who Elba will be playing. There have been multiple versions of the character, but the prevailing theme among them is that they're all very much like The Punisher in the sense that they take target criminals who "deserve" to die.

In some ways, it feels like Vigilante will just be a Deadshot replacement, but the difference here is that he was a gun for fire, whereas Elba's character is a deranged loon who enjoys taking his frustrations out on evildoers.
