10 New Marvel Cinematic Universe Casting Rumours You Need To Know About
7. Michelle Yeoh As Fin Fang Foom's Protector
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was originally set to be released in cinemas next February, but after being pushed back to May, it's now taken Spider-Man 3's original July 2021 slot (the wall-crawler's next adventure has been pencilled in for December, but is likely to move again).
With shooting recently resuming in Australia, a new report has claimed to shed some light for the monstrous dragon Fin Fang Foom in the movie. It's said that a huge set has been built which will double as The Valley of the Sleeping Dragon, a location best known as Fin Fang Foom's lair.
In a flashback to when Genghis Khan ruled over China, it will be revealed that an ancient group of warriors will be shown protecting Foom and the alien spaceship he crashed to Earth in (which, as you might expect, contains the Ten Rings that The Mandarin craves).
There's been a lot of speculation surrounding who Star Trek Discovery's Michelle Yeoh will be playing in Shang-Chi, but this rumour states that she'll appear as a protector of the Valley as a currently unnamed character. There's no way Marvel Studios will waste her as a glorified extra, so don't be surprised if she winds up being an obscure character plucked from Marvel Comics history!
