10 New Marvel Cinematic Universe Casting Rumours You Need To Know About
8. Geraldine Viswanathan As Ms. Marvel
Like a lot of casting rumours, it's hard to pinpoint exactly where this started, but Geraldine Viswanathan has emerged as the apparent frontrunner for the role of Kamala Khan in the highly anticipated Ms. Marvel series which is on the way to Disney+.
Best known for starring in The Broken Hearts Gallery, Viswanathan is certainly a talent, though she seems a little old for the role at 25. Ultimately, it will boil down to whether Marvel Studios decides to make Ms. Marvel a young teen or a slightly older one, but during a recent interview, the actress made it clear that it's a role she's interested in.
"Oh God, it’s so flattering," Viswanathan started. "And she’s my favorite superhero by far, so it’s really cool. But I have low expectations; whatever will be will be. They’ll find the perfect Ms. Marvel, and I’m really excited to see it."
Marvel Studios could do worse than casting Viswanathan as Ms. Marvel, and she's a good fit for the character in a number of ways. With a rumoured premiere date of sometime in 2021 (which seems doubtful all things considered), it can't be too much longer before casting news drops for the series.
