10 New MCU Characters To Look Out For In 2018 - Ranked By Anticipation

When Thanos comes to Earth to wreak havoc in Infinity War, he won't be alone. His adoptive children, known as The Black Order, will have his back when it all goes off.

The evil foursome are Corvus Glaive, Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight and Cull Obsidian. They're members of various alien races from across the galaxy and each pose a different type of threat to the Avengers and their allies.

Corvus Glaive is essentially Thanos’s right hand man and the most loyal to the Mad Titan, often acting as his mouthpiece during negotiations. He's immortal, but his longevity is tied to a staff he carries around. If that is broken, so is he.

Glaive is actually married to Proxima Midnight, who is part alien, part Amazon warrior in design. She also carries a staff and has the usual assortment of superpowers: enhanced strength, speed, agility and more. In the comics, she has proven tough enough to best Thor and the Hulk in one-on-one combat.

Meanwhile, Cull Obsidian (who's actually called Black Dwarf in the comic books) is the group's heaviest hitter and The Black Order's answer to the Hulk. In the comics, he falls afoul of Thanos after failing to kill Black Panther.

Rounding off the group, Ebony Maw should prove an interesting challenge for Doctor Strange as he is the crew's sorcerer of sorts, a master manipulator and an enigma who doesn't always see eye to eye with the Mad Titan.

With the Black Order by his side, Thanos is certain to be the biggest threat the Avengers have ever faced. Any one of these characters would prove a handful for the superhero team, but together, they seriously increase the odds of a full set of Infinity Stones ending up in the wrong hands, and who knows what that could mean?
