4. Marilyn Monroe Gets Her Photo Taken - Becomes Most Famous Actress Ever
Known today for her unsurpassable sex appeal and untimely tragic death, Marilyn Monroe seems like she was born a movie star from the very get go. Not so: at one point, the blonde bombshell was just another schmuck like the rest of us. She was also originally a brunette, which is just an interesting fact and one that doesn't really have much to do with any of this. Anyway, one day, a photographer (working for the manly war-time magazine
YANK) snapped a picture of Norma Jean, who was then working as a waitress, and was convinced that there was just
something special about her. And mainly it was that her breasts were of a particularly, uh, "great" standard and, were, um "well-shaped." The photographer encouraged Miss Jean to heed his advice and try to become something more than just a waitress, which she absolutely did, starting with some acting lessons and some blonde hair dye. Thank you, YANK magazine, whatever you are.
