10 Obnoxious Viewpoints Closeminded Moviegoers Hold

3. I Hate That Actor So The Movie Sucks

Top Gun Here€™s something truly illogical and baffling. Actors by definition are people tasked with portraying a character. Sometimes it€™s a real person but mostly it€™s a fictional character brainstormed by a writer or director. But as their job demands, they simply portray the role and do what they€™re told. Now don€™t mistake this bullet point with just general uncertainty of if an actor fits a role, but illogical temper tantrums over someone being in a movie. These people then swear off a film they potentially might have enjoyed considering they were clearly interested in it in the first place. Sometimes the pettiness for an actor can reach ridiculous heights such as despising one for their political or media beliefs. Actors aren€™t representing themselves on screen, but rather characters. I personally think Jim Carrey and Tom Cruise are a bit loony in reality but as actors they will forever have my undying respect because I can separate actors and films from the real world
