10 Obscure Sci-Fi Horror Movies You Need To Watch
4. Tag
If you're looking for a quiet, dignified and methodical sci-fi horror movie, then you'd better start running in the opposite direction because this wild thrill of a film is anything but subtle. However, that unapologetic campiness and goofy presentation is part of what makes this flick such a fun time.
Tag follows the misadventures of the young schoolgirl Mitsuko after she suffers from a catastrophic accident that wipes out all of her classmates. However, that's only the beginning of her torment, as she soon returns to find everything back to "normal" and begins a mind-melding adventure into alternate timelines, bodies and worlds.
As you can tell from the plot, this movie is utterly unpredictable, as it takes you around a variety of settings and fills each one with unique ideas. You'll see wedding massacres, marathons, body horror and plenty of other strange images that will stick with you. It all comes with this wacky eccentricity that makes it both frightening and amusing.
The movie also ties all of the more ludicrous moments up in a climax that you'll either love or hate, as a dramatic twist arrives to explain the events and flips everything you've seen thus far on its head.
