10 Obscure Superheroes That Badly Need A Movie Treatment

6. Moon Knight

When it comes to picking sides between the Big Two, I've got my feet firmly planted in DC's camp. But, even I have to admit that Marvel is trailblazing the way at the movie theater. The one thing they are missing though is a character comparable to Batman. Enter Moon Knight. While he's certainly visually reminiscent of the Caped Crusader, his origins and backstory are even darker and way more twisted. Left for dead in Egypt, Marc Spector was saved by the moon god Khonshu, on the condition that he become an avatar of vengeance. In recent incarnations, this has lead to him having multiple personalities struggling for control inside of him. This makes him a perfect examination of the struggle between good and evil inside all of us. Though he wishes to fight crime and do good, he can be taken over by his desire for vengeance, sometimes to the point of killing. If Marvel needs to do their own "dark and brooding" vigilante (since nobody seems to be able to do a Punisher movie America wants to see, even though Punisher: War Zone is riotous fun), they've got a great foundation in Moon Knight.
