School bullies are not nice people. They ruin lives and leave longstanding trauma that some victims never fully shake. However, even the most vile tormentors don't deserve the same fate as the ones from Let the Right One In.

Released in 2008, this Swedish film follows the plight of Oskar, a young boy who befriends a girl named Eli. They get along famously, but their relationship takes a bit of a hit when Eli reveals that she is actually a vampire.

Oskar is often on the receiving end of bullying at school, which Eli begs him to do something about. The horrible boys corner Oskar at a local swimming pool and one of them holds his head under the water. However, on the surface, it's the bullies who are suffering.

In a beautifully shot sequence, Eli arrives and kills most of the thugs whilst the camera is focused on Oskar’s submerged face. When he comes up for air, he witnesses the bloody revenge she has enacted on his behalf.

He really should have just gone to their parents.
