10 Off-Screen MCU Moments EVERYONE Wanted To See

3. Arnim Zola Becomes A Supercomputer - Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Though the MCU has dabbled in increasingly outlandish storytelling over the years, one of the most eyebrow-raising reveals in its earlier days was Captain America: The Winter Soldier's barmy revelation that HYDRA scientist Arnim Zola (Toby Jones) had his consciousness transferred into a S.H.I.E.L.D. supercomputer. Yup.

For one of the more "realistic" MCU movies - and we're using that word lightly here - it was an outrageously absurd revelation, and one made all the more silly by the subsequent exposition dump which Zola dropped on Cap and Black Widow.

But the idea of a terminally ill Zola having his mind downloaded into a '70s supercomputer and then creating a new covert version of HYDRA within S.H.I.E.L.D. is also deliciously devious, and so it'd certainly be fascinating to see precisely how his transformation from man to machine came about.

Plus, is more Toby Jones ever a bad thing?
