2. Yoda - 900 Years Of Age

“When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not.”

As a cantankerous Yoda informed Luke Skywalker in Return of the Jedi, he managed to reach the ludicrous landmark of 900 years of age before he passed away in that 1983 film. And with that, all of us believed that Yoda was the oldest being in the entire history of Star Wars. Well, he was. For a time, at least.

In more recent years, a certain other character has been introduced who surpasses Yoda’s 900 years amongst the living. But still, you can’t argue that the diminutive Jedi Master didn’t have a good run as one of the wisest and most Force-sensitive beings to have ever lived. After all, not everybody gets to head-up the Jedi Council.

Famously, even death hasn’t been enough to fully stop Yoda from making appearances – the legendary Jedi Master even turning up to quip wise at Luke Skywalker in 2017’s The Last Jedi - and even now, fans still hold out hope that they've not seen the last of one of Star Wars' greatest ever characters.
