10 Other MCU Prequels We'd Like To See
1. Thanos Rising
Phase Three offered some of the best villains the MCU has to offer, but none are quite on the same level as Thanos. The Mad Titan was teased a whole six years before his first proper appearance, was given a real motivation of substance, and was developed excellently. However, he was almost given even more of the spotlight.
Since the movie's release, the Russo brothers have confirmed that there was a draft of Infinity War that included a much deeper look into Thanos' backstory and origin, and though it was ultimately cut, that doesn't mean we shouldn't ultimately see it in the future.
Thanos Rising was a comic arc released in 2013, and depicted the titular character's journey from birth, to outcast teenager, to maniacal mass murderer. Adapting this story would be a perfect way to continue the legendary character's legacy, and create empathy for the villain, in a similar way to how Todd Phillips did the same for the Joker.
It would be impossible to watch Thanos' mother try and kill him because he looked different to the other Titans, mere seconds after he was born, and not feel something.
