Tying into Captain America: The Winter Soldier likely saved Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. from cancellation, so it should come as no surprise to learn that plans are already in place for the series to link up with Avengers: Age of Ultron. What that will consist of remains to be seen, but one report claims that characters from the show will turn up in the sequel. There's no word on who exactly is going to appear, and it could just be as simple as showing Coulson's team in peril as moviegoers get a snapshot of the destruction Ultron is creation across the world. After all, The Avengers are still in the dark about both Coulson's resurrection and the fact that he's running a new S.H.I.E.L.D. as its director. Seeing The Avengers discover that would be hugely satisfying though, so if this true, here's hoping it's a significant cameo. After all, these characters do all share the same world. This is a rumour which should definitely be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being, but it opens the door to a lot of interesting possibilities.
