10 Outstanding Adopted Movie Families

3. Up

3_Up Pixar

We€™ve all seen what Up has to offer on a basic level, which is characters uniting (to their unofficial leader€™s dismay) to face a common obstacle. Not only is Up very well done in that regard, but it also goes a step further in terms of how it ties the characters to one another permanently after the solution of the movie is achieved€”the characters remain committed to one another on a very poignant level.

Every one of the protagonists in Up has a clear goal€”Carl (and Ellie) Fredricksen wanting to move to South America, Russell wanting to earn his final Wilderness Explorer badge, Dug wanting to be as useful as the rest of his canine associates, and Kevin wanting to be left alone to survive. But their friendship to one another makes them think about what they€™re missing in their lives, and in the end, they make big changes that are actually really big, which in Up€™s case makes their own dreams better, as well as one another€™s.
