10 Overlooked Positives Of The Matrix Revolutions
1. The Finale Is Suitably Insane
The movie's final battle between Neo and Agent Smith feels like a natural by-product of the Wachowskis attempting to one-up themselves in each subsequent movie.
It may be insanely over-the-top, but it's also a ton of fun and ludicrously entertaining to watch. There's Neo pleading with the machine-baby-thing to fight Smith, the visually epic fight on the rain-soaked street, trading blows in the sky while flying around, giant, Dragonball Z-esque balls of water, epic slow-motion punches, and some awesome mid-fight speeches.
It goes on for a damn good while and reaches that heightened level audiences expect of a trilogy-closing battle. It's not perfect, but it sure is a blast to soak in.
