6. Fingers Sliced Off
Examples: House of Wax, Hostel, Wolf Creek. Although a minor injury in the grand scheme of things, it's one that obviously doesn't kill you, so the pain is endured for longer and the fact that you do just about everything with your hands means it's going to effect your very movement (and any attempts to escape). It's a truly torturous and barbaric act and one that is made all the more sinister by the fact that it's generally carried out by the most sadistic of assailants who revel in seeing their victims slowly taken apart until their ultimate demise. A great example of such an act would be from the gore-porn fest that is the first Hostel movie. Paxton is tortured by the a client of Elite Hunting and has some fingers cut off by him, but he manages to escape. Then, at the end of the movie when he manages to catch up with his friend Josh's tormentor in a public restroom, Paxton gets him back by cutting off the very same fingers that he had lost earlier in the movie before killing him. Another good example would be House of Wax, when Carly Jones is being held captive underground and tries to get her brother's attention by sticking her fingers out of a gutter grate and Bo Sinclair cuts one off with a pair of wire cutters.
