6. Robin Wright & Hanna Hall As Jenny Curran - Forrest Gump
Much like Witherspoon and Fanning, the Robin Wright and Hanna Hall match up shouldn't have been that difficult to make. Oh, but, wait - let's look at the script. The casting director needed to find a child that not only looked like Wright, but could also deliver lines in a southern drawl and deal with terrible aspects of growing up with an abusive father. Yikes. Hall, who was as talented as a child as she is now, was perfect for this role. She was sweet, innocent, beautifully bronzed with golden hair. She was also intimidatingly aware of the situation her character was in. I believe young Jenny wanted to be friends with the young Forrest and that she didn't care that he was different. It was a beautiful transition, as well, to see Wright step in and take over, carrying on the problems young Jenny was faced with into her adulthood. Hall both looked and spoke like Wright, true. She also acted at the same caliber. Very, very talented young girl who blossomed into a very talented woman.
