10 Past MCU Moments That Will Mean Something Big In Phase 4 And Beyond
8. U.S. Agent - The Falcon And The Winter Soldier
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier was, at its core, a story about what it meant to be Captain America. So much so that the series introduced an entirely new one in the form of John Walker.
Though this new Captain America was much more sinister than Steve Rogers, he was more violent, less forgiving, and stood against everything the original Captain America stood for. Steve Rogers was picked to take the shield because he was noble and not a bully like all the other soldiers; John Walker is very much that bully.
However, the shield was taken away from him by Sam Wilson near the end of the series, and after conflicts with the U.S. government, he was left in a dire state, which eventually led to him turning into the U.S. Agent.
In the comics, the U.S. Agent is the complete opposite of Steve Rogers and has battled against him at multiple points; this post-credit scene implies that he’ll become a proper antagonist in the future and will likely duke it out against Sam Wilson.
