Marvel Studios didn't create the after-credits scene, but they certainly perfected it. When Nick Fury showed up at the end of Iron Man and told Tony Stark about the "Avengers Initiative," a Cinematic Universe was born thathas redefined the comic book movie genre and become one of the most successful franchises in history. Now, it's the turn of DC. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy didn't play around with after-credits scenes, while Green Lantern's left fans both baffled and confused as Sinestro randomly swapped his green ring with a yellow one. Man Of Steel meanwhile also didn't feature a credits stinger. For all fans know, Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice will also avoid having one (perhaps in a bid to avoid being compared to Marvel Studios), but that would be a mistake and a missed opportunity, especially as this movie is really the first step on the long journey that is their Cinematic Universe. There are almost unlimited possibilities as a result, because Warner Bros has the opportunity to tease any one of their upcoming comic book adaptations, whether it's Justice League, Wonder Woman, Suicide Squad, or even Batman and Superman's upcoming solo movies.
