10 Perfect Casting Choices to Support Ben Affleck's Batman

1. Chandler Riggs €“ Damian Wayne/ Robin

The son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, Damian Wayne is a master martial artist, an expert in forensic science and criminology, and is truly one of the most fascinating characters to appear in the Batman comics. Originally a one-shot character in DC€™s Elseworlds story Batman: Son Of The Demon, comic writer Grant Morrison saw the potential in Damian and brought him into the DC Canon in the Batman And Son storyline where for the fast eight years he has been a major character. Casting Damian is not without its issues, as he is young and child actors are such a risk in big Hollywood blockbusters where box office revenue is everything; a poor one can completely ruin otherwise good films. It would be wise to seek an established young actor rather than a new name, someone who could possibly handle the pressure fans and studios will inevitably put on their young shoulders and Walking Dead€™s Chandler Rigg€™s is the perfect fit. He€™s already proven he can play dark, dysfunctional, rebellious and angry characters in The Walking Dead, and despite the criticisms against him, he has done a fine job with the material he has been given and baring the €˜child star curse€™ is on his way to becoming a popular and well-rounded actor in Hollywood. He already has an accomplished emotional range for such a young actor, his portrayal of Carl's dark descent from a terrified boy to a hardened soldier, almost sociopathic in nature is perfect for Damian. The relationship between Bruce and his son is very unique (and very similar to that of Rick and Carl Grimes), and it would be a brilliant and compelling move if DC were to adapt the united father and son on the big screen. Damian€™s partnership with Batman is completely different from the previous Robin€™s as Damian€™s thirst for bloodlust, anger problems and willingness to kill causes some heated confrontations and dilemmas for his father.Yet despite all this, even though Damian is misguided and malicious, he and his father share a close bond and are a spectacular criminal fighting duo. If DC really want to do something different and unique, then they should jump at the opportunity to bring Damian Wayne to the big screen. Did you agree with our choices?
