2. Keanu Reeves As The Silver Surfer
We know Keanu Reeves has been in talks with Marvel, but we don’t know exactly who he’ll be playing yet, or even if those talks will lead to something concrete. If it does though, the Silver Surfer seems like the ideal pick.
Honourable mention should go to Moon Knight too; Reeves bears more than a passing resemblance to the character and it would link up with his excellent stunt proficiency. However, with the likes of John Wick, Toy Story and Cyberpunk bringing us to the peak of Keanuaissance, the massive name of the Silver Surfer just feels a better fit.
Silver Surfer was probably brutalised the most of all the characters in the Fantastic Four movies, so they need to get it right this time around.
Reeves has a steady, determined tone to his voice as John Wick, and that could be used to excellent effect here. The classic Marvel quip style just would not work for this cosmic messenger, but deadpan done right is basically Keanu’s brand at this point.
If he plays the Silver Surfer like he did Klaatu in The Day The Earth Stood Still’s remake, he’d be onto a winner.
