Tupac Shakur may have posited "Only God Can Judge Me" but it is not without hyperbole to state that the entire world judged Demetrius Shipp Jr's performance as unapologetically bad following a wooden turn as the iconic rapper in 2017's misjudged biopic.

In a way, the fact that Shipp looks so similar to Pac makes this performance even more unforgivable. Resemblance to the man himself aside, this was the first dramatized biopic that had been solely dedicated to the inimitable rap god himself, following a lengthy legal battle over rights to production.

Shipp Jr.'s resemblance is the only redeeming quality in what is a catastrophically awkward performance - a morbid case study in bad casting, highlighting that this was a role far beyond the talents of the young actor in brutal clarity.
