4. Cafe Flesh (1982)
A post apocalyptic, sci fi/hard core hybrid, Cafe Flesh is another highly absorbing Porno Chic movie that was a substantial crossover midnight movie hit. After a nuclear war, people morph into either Sex Positives (1% of the population) or Sex Negatives (99% of the population). If Sex Negatives attempt to have sex, they become very ill. So the Sex Positives, who can have sex, put on porno shows for the Negatives to enjoy in Cafe Flesh. A famous Positive - Johnny Rico, is coming to Cafe Flesh to everyone's delight. A woman begins to question whether she is a Negative or not. Cafe Flesh earned its Porno Chic credentials by being a good film - plot wise and porn wise. The story is fabulous and leads to much exciting sex scenes as a result. There is a wide variety of sexual acts in the movie which is presumably because director Rinse Dream wanted to keep everything engaging and exciting. The film has a downbeat, sleazy atmosphere despite the excitement of hardcore porn activity. Definitely one for the perverts as a hardcore porn film, yet also quite thoughtful and cerebral despite its perviness.
