10 Planned Movie Sequels That Also Need To Be Terminated

9. Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Scheduled Release Date: May 26, 2017 Johnny Depp has come under fire in recent years for starring in an endless stream of films requiring him to act in a "kooky manner." Pretty much, this has involved the actor putting on a funny hat and doing a weird voice - less impressive the more times you see it. Then, last year, he starred in Black Mass, which almost seemed to signal a change of direction for the actor... but it was a false hope, apparently, because over the next few years Johnny Depp will reprise his roles in two movies that require him to quirk. The first, Alice Through the Looking Glass, is out this year. The second... Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tells. But hasn't the Pirates boat sailed already, though? Disney have scheduled this unnecessary sequel for release for May 2017, and one can assume that it's the massive paycheck that has drawn Depp back into the fray. The fact Orlando Bloom will return to the franchise for the fifth chapter does nothing to justify that it should exist in the first place, because these movies keep getting worse and worse. Sadly the filming for this one is already well under-way, so it's unlikely this sequel will sink without reaching shore.
