10 Plot Holes That Almost Ruined Back To The Future

1. Who Wrote Johnny Be Good Originally?

back This one is admitadly nit picking, but if you put something on film then you leave yourself open to it being nitpicked. At the Enchantment Under The Sea Dance Marty played and sung The Chuck Berry song Johnny Be Good. Mid way through the song, Marvin the singer who injured his hand calls up his cousin Chuck Berry and tells him to listen to Marty€™s song as it could be the new sound he is looking for. This situations, as tongue in cheek as it may be suggests that Chuck Berry plagiarised the song he had heard Marty play and later claim it as his own. In a classic case of what came first, the chicken or the egg type scenario the film creates a situation where Marty could not have played the song without knowing the Chuck Berry original. Chuck Berry meanwhile could not have written it unless he had overheard Marty play it. This is where Doctor Who fans would simply state €˜Wibbly wobbly timey winey€™ and move on. It seems good advice so let€™s do the same!
