Ariana Richards won several Young Artist Awards during her childhood.

During the 80s and 90s, she appeared in hit TV shows such as The Golden Girls and Boy Meets World. Richards starred in the 1991 film Switched at Birth and had roles alongside Kevin Bacon (Tremors) and Jeff Daniels (Timescape).

At 12-years-old, Richards landed her most memorable role. The young actress portrayed Lex Murphy in Steven Spielberg's 1993 Jurassic Park and made a brief cameo in the 1997 sequel.

Despite her success in Hollywood at a young age, Richards ultimately decided to choose a different career path. The 42-year-old is a portrait painter in Portland. One of her art pieces is hanging in one of Spielberg's offices.
